Zac & I had the best honeymoon! We went to Playa Del Carmen & Stayed at The Royal. It was absolutely AMAZING. Can you say ALL INCLUSIVE!! Totally the only way to go. I don't think we will ever go on another vacation like that without doing all inclusive. We were there for 7 days, all of which was a dream.
Our Journey starts at the airport (mind you we left our hotel at 4:30 in the AM) where we got breakfast, tried to wake up & patiently waited for our plane to come so we could go to paradise!
Waiting for our plane
YAY it's here!
We are one our way
The journey to the hotel is almost over.. on our way there in the van (The driver totally didn't speak english.. ha ha he just smiled and nodded)
Ah how cute!
The Jacuzzi in our room.. Sunday 9.19.2010 we got a couples massage that was an amazing 2 hours long. Part of it was in the Jacuzzi where we got to relax & get our upper body massages & facials.
The cute cake they made.. The sign was white chocolate.. Mmm
The cute letter they wrote to us.. it was waiting in our hotel room when we got there!
So in love!
When we arrived at the hotel the Romance Concierge was waiting for us. They had cool cloths ready as it was so hot & humid there. They escorted us to our private check in room where we got checked in & on our way so fast.. only took a couple minutes! Once we got to our room we sat everything down & quickly jumped into our swimsuits and headed to the pools & Ocean. It was all amazing & so beautiful.
The view of the pools/hotel from the beach. (As you can see.. they are super close!)
We spent a lot of time in the pools & on the beach. It was so relaxing. A couple days we decided to go exploring in the town to see what it was like. Well, guess what. We found a walmart.. ha ha. Went all that way & they have The Wall, just like us. It was amazing to see the types of people there & how they lived. There were shacks everywhere & people walking without shoes.
We came across this place called 5th avenue. The whole street was filled with little shops up & down where we got to practice our bartering skills! I got quite a bit of fun stuff! It was so much fun to shop & try to understand the little mexican's accent.. Can I say, bROkeN eNgLISh.. AHH. Luckily my handy dandy husband was able to speak spanish & understand what they were saying :)
5th Avenue
A cute mariachi band walking down 5th Ave.
When we weren't shopping, laying by the beach or getting massages we were in the pools meeting people! We actually met this awesome couple in one of the hot tubs. They got married 2 days after us & were from Atlanta, Georgia. They are in a band called "The Whiskey Gentry" (look them up, they are awesome!). We talked with them & others for quite a while but ended up going to dinner with them that night at Maria Maria.. one of the best restaurants at the hotel! Turns out they were in the room right below us.. ha ha can we say, awkward, especially when she was like.. oh your the girl that likes to walk around in her heels late late at night.. ha ha totally made us laugh.. all in good humor right?

The Marrow's
We took a trip to Cozumel on Tuesday. So much fun! We went snorkeling in a couple different places, went to dinner & then rented a scooter & took a very exciting ride around the island.
** Snorkeling **
** Scooter Ride **
We heard that renting a scooter is so much fun & that you are able to see a lot of the island you normally would not be able to see. As this was our first time to Cozumel, we took the kind old couple up on their suggestion (How could we not, they kept talking about getting dolphins drunk & stuffing them in their suitcases.. stable people.. right??). Please see pictures below for story of the Scooter...
As we were newly married.. we did/do everything together.. this includes being on the same scooter.. And here we are above on our scooter :)
Us riding along on our little stroll (Please note speedometer.. it is at 0??)
Continuing our journey around Cozumel
So Pretty!!
We stopped for a second & went down this ally to the ocean.. The sand was georgous!
Our scooter broke down :( We think the belt broke or something ha ha.. So we hitch hiked & ended up getting a ride with some dude.. He stopped to buy his drugs at this seashell place.. This is Zac making music with the seashell & drug dealer :)
Guy who picked us up & his girlfriend.. getting their drinks :s
Car View Ocean.. too bad our scooter broke down :(
Guy who picked us up..
We stopped to tell the policia that our scooter broke down so that they could watch it & make sure nobody stole it.. obviously we left it in the road ha ha.. (Please notice that the truck door handle is seriously like falling off & the truck is rusting ha ha)
Some dude that was taking his family to.. the market?? How sweet of him to push them around :)
So to sum up.. We rented a scooter, had it break down 90 minutes before the road was going to close.. close because of turtles crossing.. hitch hiked in MEXICO?? had some guy pick us up, stopped for a drug deal, passed some guy on the road, got back safely.. wow YAY we are still living ha ha ha. It was so funny.. obviously Zac didn't think it was funny at the time but I couldn't stop laughing. It was so ridiculous & just ahh.. what a story for the grandkids :)
On our way home from Mexico our flight out of Texas was about 60 minutes after our flight landed.. because of the weather delay.. dun dun dun , we missed our flight & got to spend the night in Texas. It was so much fun! We got put up in a hotel & got free food. We also got a nice night sleep before having to go home.. and an extra day on our honeymoon! We were at the hotel eating & as we looked over, there was the lady that we sat by 8 days prior on the plane from dallas to cancun. She was at the same hotel & had missed the same flight. How random is that. Of course I had to take a picture to document :)
See lady on far right

I could not have asked for a better honeymoon! Being able to spend every second with the love of my life for 8 straight days was amazing. Zac is so sweet, caring, generous, happy, loving, kind, fun, playful, ect & I am just so happy to be married to him & to have shared our experiences from Mexico! I love you, Honey!
